In 2018, we were approached by the developers of a 70-acre industrial complex located just outside of Uptown Charlotte called Camp North End. They’d seen our spot, the NoDa Company Store, and wanted to see if we’d be willing to operate similar concessions for an outdoor seasonal event plaza called The Boileryard. We jumped at the opportunity. For four years, we operated our little outpost, NoDa Company Canteen, serving tasty drinks and bite-size snacks to tens of thousands of guests attending free live music on Friday nights, larger events all day or weekend events including Durag Fest, Congregation Motorcycle Show, Empanada Fest, Latin Night, Dia de los Muertos, Peruvian Festival, and many more.

Then, in 2022, we were asked to design and build out an adjacent indoor space, which we built into the Canteen at Camp North End. We took the raw space, a large cinderblock shell with two bathrooms and a storage room, and created a tropical urban oasis. Joey painted all of the murals on the walls and ceilings, and we built the bar, custom live-edge wood tables and bar tops, as well as the service areas upstairs and in the basement.

Our three-year lease ended in the summer of 2025, and we sold the business to good friends and former workmates at the NoDa Company Store.
