UPDATE: We sold this place mid-May 2025. I still think it is the most beautiful setting I've ever seen and I'm delighted we were its' custodians for 6 years. Selling our dream home in paradise isn't an easy thing for us to do, it is the right thing right now. We didn't intend for it to be a second home, rather our first, but life and things in life haven't allowed us to be there nearly as often as we would hope to be. Business in Charlotte, NC, family there as well, COVID in between us buying and now. These have all leaned us in the direction of needing to be in North Carolina - so a dream deferred, but maybe it's time for this dream to be yours.

We loved our six years with this place, we bought it in 2018. It's been wonderful. Getting to know friends and neighbors around us and on this island has been fantasic - both islanders and ex-pats. Our purchase here was broadcast on both Caribbean Life & House Hunters International. The enthusiasm we had then is still with us now. We still believe this place is perfect like it is, or could easily have another home or casitas added. Options are easy to find.

Roatan is truly a unique and special place, and the East End and more specifically Port Royal even more so. Take a look through these various blog posts on this site - our trips around the island, the folks we've met, the great food we've had and the deep history all around us in Port Royal.

While we are selling, we'll certainly keep close to the island - it's embedded in us now and we'll be back frequently. I wish I was there soaking in some sun on the dock or deck as I write this.
